genetic testing - the earlier, the better

Sanfilippo mom Julia talks about the importance of early genetic screening for newborns, because of the fact that the best neurocognitive results (from clinical trials) tend to come from the youngest patients.  This requires a huge effort on the part of educating doctors, therapists and other experts so that they are properly informed and equipped to be on the lookout for early signs and symptoms in the children they treat.
