Emily henderson
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Emily currently lives in New York, NY. She majored in both Genetics and Music at Pennsylvania State University where she volunteered with music therapy groups for children with special needs and worked in a research lab studying 16p12.2 deletion. She also worked as a Project Manager in a tissue engineering and regenerative medicine lab at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh for five years. Currently in the last year of her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, she hopes to work as a Genetic Counselor in prenatal or pediatric specialties.
